Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance has issued instructions on opening of beneficiary’s Bank accounts and seeding (mapping) their Aadhaar Number for Direct Benefit Transfer (Electronic Benefit Transfer - EBT) under various Government Schemes. These benefits will directly be credited to the Bank accounts of the customers. To avail these benefits, linking of AADHAAR number to Bank account is made mandatory.
To facilitate our esteemed customers, our Bank has launched multiple channels for submission of Seeding Request. Seeding Request will be processed by Bank subject to satisfactory verification of AADHAAR credential.
For Aadhaar seeding the consent of customer is mandatory and he/she need to acknowledge the below points before giving the request.

- Seed my Aadhaar/UID number issued by the UIDAI, Government of India in my name with my selected account.
- Map it at NPCI to enable me to receive Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) from Government of India in my above account. I understand that if more than one Benefit transfer is due to me, I will receive all Benefit Transfers in this account.
- Use my Aadhaar details to authenticate me from UIDAI
- Use my mobile number for sending SMS alerts to me"

How to Link Aadhaar with Andhra Bank from Internet Banking Portal
- Customer has to login to Internet Banking using his/her User ID and Password, and access the link “Registration of Aadhaar Number in Internet Banking “from Home page.
- On clicking the above link, you will be directed to a screen where you have to select the Account number, input the Aadhaar number and click on Submit.
- Status of mapping will be advised to the Customer's registered mobile number.
- Upon successful registration of AADHAAR number, customer will receive an SMS in his/her mobile inbox.
How to Link Aadhaar with Andhra Bank from ATM channel
- You can access any of our ATMs and seed your Aadhaar with your Bank account.
- After swiping the ATM card and entering your PIN, Select the menu "Service – Registrations"
- In this menu, select Aadhaar Registration (or Inquiry as per your need)
- You can now select the Account type (Savings/Checking) after which you will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number. You will be prompted to re-enter the same.
- Upon successful registration of AADHAAR number, customer will receive an SMS in his/her mobile inbox.
How to Link Aadhaar with Andhra Bank from SMS
- Customer has to send an SMS to the 56161 the AADHAAR request as per below format. The syntax for sending the SMS is given below:
- AADHAAR <space> 15 digit Bank Account Number <space> 12 digit AADHAAR Number where "AADHAAR" is the keyword for sending the message.
- If your mobile number is registered with the Bank, you will receive an SMS confirmation of the seeding request.
- The Aadhaar number will be verified by Bank with UIDAI. In case it fails verification, SMS will be sent to Customer to contact any ANDHRA BANK branch along with Aadhaar number or e-aadhaar.
How to Link Aadhaar with Andhra Bank from Branch Channel
- Customer visits any ANDHRA BANK branch with a copy of his/her Aadhaar number or e-aadhaar.
- At the branch, a Letter of Request will be obtained from customer along with the Xerox copy of Aadhaar letter.
- After necessary verification, the linking will be done by the branch. An SMS will be sent to customer's registered mobile number regarding the status of seeding.
