MAC OS X is not fully compatible with NTFS File System that means it has many disadvantages.
Drives which are formatted with NTFS file system only can be viewed on MAC OS X Operating System; there is a limitation on NTFS File System in MAC OS X.
In MAC OS X Operating System with NTFS File System drives you are not able to modify, rename, or copy contents to its drive from your Computer, all these features are disabled means doesn’t work in MAC OS X.
Only one Advantage is that you can only view the contents in the NTFS Drive in MAC OS X Operating System.
Mostly huge sized drives which include external drives like HDD and other USB Pen drives etc are normally formatted with NTFS File System, so there will be trouble if you plug in your NTFS file system Drive to your MAC OS X to copy file onto your NTFS file system drive from your MAC OS X Computer, all features like copy, rename, move etc are not accessible in NTFS File System drives in MAC OS X.
This is a major disadvantage the MAC OS X operating system computers are having, not fully compatible with NTFS File System Drives.
MAC OS X can read NTFS System Drives but cannot write the NTFS File System Drive ’s.
