Today we will introducing to you about selective sync in Dropbox, selective sync in Dropbox has major importance for a major reason.
Suppose you can huge data on your cloud drive on Dropbox and you want selected folders to be sync on your computer so you can use this option, one more reason is if suppose your hard disk space in your computer is less than the data in the Dropbox than again this option can be used, you can sync priority wise the folders select and let than sync on your computer.
To do selective sync it’s very easy just right click on Dropbox logo which is located on your taskbar, there you will find preference’s just click on it, than a window will appear than just click on advanced tab, in Advanced tab there will be option located called Selective Sync, click on Selective Sync, it will display on more window showing all folders located in your Dropbox Cloud Drive.
You can mark or unmark them, mark means you want them to sync on your computer, unmark means you don’t want them to sync on your computer.
So priority wise you can mark and unmark which folders you don’t want or you want by selecting, it’s very easy.
After selecting just click on update your data will be synced on your computer or if before whole data was synced on your computer you also unmark them so that it will be remove from your computer but in Could Drive of Dropbox it will be present.
You can also select subfolders in it to sync r un-sync on your computer by clicking on Switch to Advanced view, that it.
After you click on update the process will start of syncing and then click on OK in the Dropbox Preferences.
It will start syncing and will take time according to size of your data and internet connection.
